We’re so proud of our Gog-made products and everything else that we stock here at the farm. So much thought goes into every item that has a space on our shelves or in our counters. Of course we want to be able to provide our customers with the food they want but we also feel a sense of responsibility to provide food that has been made from quality ingredients using traditional processes.
Each item has a story but what’s important to us is that we know that story and can share it with you. The issue of traceability is prevalent within the news at the moment. Here at The Gog we source our meat from British farmers with whom we have built long-standing and trusting relationships over the years. Not only do we avoid the use of unnecessary chemicals, preservatives and flavour enhancers, but our meat arrives in the rawest form possible and we carry out as much of the butchery process as we can right here.
We could buy pre-minced meat for sausages and use production machines but to be certain of quality, we buy whole Dingley Dell pigs and carry out the entire process by hand (from pig right through to packaging), to our very high standards. We can therefore be positive of its exceptional quality and ensure that only good cuts of meat are used.
