Tunworth & Montaignan Carignan
Our Cheese and Wine Pairing of the month makes an ideal winter warmer. Made in Hampshire, Tunworth is an English alternative to a classic French camembert. It has a long lasting sweet flavour with nutty tones and a delicious creamy texture.
A gold medal winner at the ‘World Cheese Awards’, Tunworth is made by hand in small batches from pasteurised whole cows milk.
Top Tunworth with fresh rosemary and garlic cloves then bake until it’s oozing and bubbling. Serve with roughly chopped sourdough and enjoy with a glass of Montaignan Carignan. This complementary red from France is fruity and juicy with notes of oak and vanilla.
Tunworth and a bottle of Montaignan Carignan are only £16 in the Delicatessen throughout November.
